Recently, schools have stopped requiring designated items, so what criteria should you use to choose? It can be even more difficult.

Capacity? Usability? Stylishness? What do your friends think?

まず、大事なのは容量。

First of all, capacity is important.

30L前後の中学1年生でも決して大きすぎず小さすぎないサイズ感なんです。

次に使い勝手。毎日使うものですからポケットが多く、必要な時に必要なモノがすぐ出し入れできるもの。

It's a size that's neither too big nor too small, even for a first-year junior high school student with a capacity of around 30L.

Next is usability. Since it's something you use every day, it has lots of pockets so you can easily access the things you need when you need them.

教科書仕切りも当然ついてるものを。

Of course, it should come with textbook dividers.

サイドに水筒やペットボトルが入ると便利。

It's convenient to have a plastic bottle on the side.

あと、最低3年間使ってもヘコたれない耐久性ですね。

在校生の方で他で購入された方がよく『ショルダー部分が切れた』『穴が開いた』と買い替えにみえます。

(非常に勿体無いですよね)

It's also durable enough that it won't wear out even after at least three years of use.

Current students who purchased it elsewhere often come in to replace it, saying that the shoulder strap had ripped or developed a hole.

(It's such a waste, isn't it?)

底板もしっかりしてないと不便ですよ。

It would be inconvenient if the bottom plate wasn't sturdy.

当店が考えるポイントは5つ。

・適度なサイズ感(大きすぎず小さすぎず）

・物の出し入れがスムースかどうか？(サイドポケット含めてです)

・ポケット数と教科書仕切りの有無(ペットボトル用ポケットも要確認)

・とにかくとにかく頑丈なもの(慣れてくると無茶な扱いしますよ笑)

・シンプルで色使い控えめなもの(多色使いは飽きがきます。シンプルイズベスト！)

あと値段ですが色んなスクバを見てきて分かるのは価格＝ほぼ信頼性。

おすすめは1万前後〜1.7万円程度のバッグ。あまりお安いのはおすすめしません。

普通に物価が上がってますからお安いのはやはり、「それなり」です。

(逆に高すぎるのも勿体無いです)

スクールバッグは自由購入ですので色んなお店を回ってお気に入りのバッグを見つけて下さいね。(自由すぎて迷われたらぜひ当店へお越し下さい・・笑）

There are five points we consider.

- A reasonable size (not too big, not too small)

- Is it easy to put things in and take them out? (This includes the side pockets.)

- The number of pockets and whether or not it has a textbook divider (check for a water bottle pocket, too).

- It needs to be extremely sturdy (once you get used to it, you'll be using it roughly, lol).

- It needs to be simple and subdued in color (multicolored bags get boring. Simple is best!)

As for price, having looked at many different school bags, I've learned that price equals reliability.

I recommend bags in the 10,000 to 17,000 yen range. I don't recommend bags that are too cheap.

Prices are rising, so a cheap one is still "reasonable."

(Conversely, buying one that's too expensive would be a waste.)

School bags are up to your discretion, so shop around to find your favorite bag.
